Overview
Our recommended commercial solar team were then engaged to install 2080 high-performance panels, which have subsequently slashed the company’s electricity bills by 27% and, over the course of 1 year, has produced over 1,000,000kWh of free solar energy. This will see Luxaflex achieve a Return on Investment in under 5 years.

The graph below shows 12 month data from 1st November 2021 through to 31st October 2022.
The total consumption from the grid in the same period is 1,759MWh with the solar generating 746MWh of electricity consumed on site and exporting 54.72MWh to the grid (weekends).
Solar is therefore generating 30% of the actual site consumption, and with a contract rate moving to circa 25c, it will result on a $187,000 saving per annum.
It’s great to see an Australian business achieve such a massive reduction in their reliance on the grid by investing in solar energy.
